This is a large shank mouthpiece for V. Bach. It has a deep cup, producing a rich, voluminous German-style sound.
The rim is quite rounded. It has the same rim shape and diameter as the No. 5 for small shank trombones, and the same characteristics as the 4G, but with a slightly smaller cup diameter, making it a 5G.
It shares the same cup, throat, and backbore as the 5G, but with a rounded rim.
