This tenor saxophone is a first-generation model made around 1978-1994.
It was the top model until the successor 875 was released, and at the time, even professionals used it. Compared to models currently manufactured, it has a slightly darker sound yet a light resonance, which contributes to its quick sound attack.
With a slightly distinctive tone, it is recommended for jazz players, but it offers a stable playing feel and is said to be "highly adaptable to a wide range of uses."
It is an instrument with a unique charm not found in modern instruments.
