A Holton H180, an American standard horn, has arrived.
This model was sold from the mid-1960s to 1970, and both its production and distribution volume are lower compared to the popular H179. While the H179 is made of silver-nickel, the H180 is characterized by its yellow brass construction, and its warm tone, unique to yellow brass, is appealing. It is slightly more challenging to play and handle than silver-nickel instruments, but it is recommended for those seeking a more complex sound.
Holton is a global brass instrument manufacturer established in the United States. Among its products, the powerful and rich American sound of its French horns is popular in wind ensembles and orchestras. Additionally, based on the personal model of Philip Farkas, one of the leading American horn players, models such as the Barry Tuckwell and Ethel Merker models have also been produced.
