Tokai's Les Paul Reborn LS50CS has arrived.
This is a model estimated to be from 1978, from the "Les Paul Reborn" logo era, produced before the transition to the later "Love Rock" branding. It belongs to a series that gained high acclaim both domestically and internationally for Tokai's faithful reproduction and quality, and it continues to be highly popular even today.
The Cherry Sunburst color is a classic, essential to describe the appeal of this style. With the added落ち着き (calmness/subtlety) from aging, it has transformed into a profound appearance that doesn't rely on flashiness. It has a look that strongly conveys an old-style presence.
The body features a maple top and a one-piece mahogany back. This construction promises cohesive resonance and natural response, and when combined with the mahogany neck, it delivers a sound with thickness and sustain. On clean settings, it offers a sweet, focused tone, while with drive, the prominent mid-range is pleasant, allowing you to fully enjoy the charm characteristic of a Les Paul type.
The 4th string tuner and nut have been replaced. The pickguard is missing, but this might be a positive point for those who prefer a cleaner top view.
Although there are scuffs from use, considering its age, it remains in overall good condition. It is recommended not only for collectors but also for those looking for a Japanese-made vintage guitar that can be played and enjoyed thoroughly.
