The Martin OOO-28ECB has arrived.

This is a special model produced in 2002 as a limited edition of 500 worldwide, and this particular one is the 42nd of those. While based on the standard OOO-28, it features a higher-grade special feel in its material composition and ornamentation.

Its most distinctive feature is the use of Jacaranda wood for the back and sides. This wood is now extremely rare and is regarded as an iconic presence when discussing vintage Martins. Its unique overtones and deep resonance continue to captivate many players.

The top is spruce. In addition to the rich bass and lustrous treble unique to Jacaranda, its excellent responsiveness and sound attack allow for delicate nuances in fingerstyle and a profound, expansive feel in strumming.

The balanced feel unique to the OOO size is also appealing, offering an exquisite size that's not too large like a dreadnought, yet still resonates fully. It's also comfortable to hold while playing, making it a versatile instrument suitable for a wide range of situations, from home use to recording and live performances.

Furthermore, the ornamentation is more luxurious than on standard models, providing a strong sense of ownership befitting a limited edition model. It has an understated elegance, giving it a calm presence that makes you want to call it a "mature Martin."

Although there are some scratches and dings from use, it remains in relatively clean condition overall.
Please note that the 1st string peg, nut, and saddle have been replaced.
Nevertheless, it is in good playing condition and can continue to be enjoyed for a long time.
