The S.U.B. series inherits the DNA of Ernie Ball Music Man. Sterling by Music Man, known for its high quality and cost performance, further pursues quality levels and value, and this new line is aimed at beginner players.

The Ray4 is based on the Stingray bass model. It is equipped with a powerful humbucking pickup, which is the source of the Stingray sound, and a 2-band active preamplifier (treble/bass) that can create a wide range of sound variations. The neck is made of maple with a narrow 38mm nut width, making it easy for beginners to play, and features a highly rigid 6-bolt mount neck joint. Furthermore, it adopts an easy-access truss rod adjuster for simple neck adjustment. While retaining the punchy sound characteristic of the Stingray, it delivers a straightforward and easy-to-handle sound.

This bass is highly recommended for beginners, those looking for a second bass, or those seeking a bass suitable for genres like rock that involve slap or pick playing!
